Friends,

As we enter into this time of Lent, I ask that you reflect on the past month as we’ve looked at the concept of Justice.

During Lent our hearts and minds turn ever more towards Jesus and his Journey to Jerusalem; his journey to the cross.

Let us remember how Jesus gave all of himself for us.

Often we are asked to give up something for Lent. This year I’d like you to consider what you can GIVE for Lent. It might be money, but it also might be some of your time volunteering.

The idea of justice and the call of Lent can and should come together in our walk with God.

It is my hope that you have had a Wonderful Christmas Season and that the start to the New Year promises good things ahead for you and your family.

As I reflect over the last 10+ months as your Pastor I am humbled by your faith in God and in the dedication that I see in each and every person at FPC Big Flats. We have so many people who see a need and step in to take care of whatever it might be. It is a beautiful thing to see. Thank you to everyone for all that you do.

As we move into the New Year as a family of faith at First Presbyterian Church of Big Flats, I also hope that you will make attending Worship and serving in the church and in our community a priority. Take time to invite your family, friends and neighbors to join us in Worship each week.

In 2020, let us dream together new ways to reach people around us for Jesus Christ. Let us dream together new ways to care for the people we meet. Let us dream together and Let Us Serve the Lord our God!
